Gavin is 6 year old today. For the past years, he always celebrated his birthday in his childcare centre, but this year he told me he doesn't want to celebrate in school, instead, he want me to bring him to Sizzler for a salad buffet dinner. So yesterday (and as it is a public holiday) we brought him out for to watch the movie "Mr. Bean Holiday" in the afternoon; and in the evening we went to Sizzler Restaurant at Suntec City for a salad buffet dinner. After dinner, we went to Carrefour and we bought him a bicycle as his birthday gift.


Getting bicycle was my idea. For Alan, he had promised Gavin to get him a Lego Knight Kingdom Chess Set. We saw the set at a Lego Shop in Novena Square but we told him that we'll get it for him for his birthday. But in March, when we try to buy the set it was sold out (only the Viking Chess Set is available and Gavin don't like it). In fact, the staff at the lego shop told us it was all sold out in Singapore and there's no stock at the Lego Warehouse here. You should see how sad Gavin was when we broke the news to him. So I went on-line to search. And finally I found it at the Lego Online Shop but the Knight Kingdom Chess Set is only available in certain country, they don't deliver to Singapore and I can't get it through VPost cos' it is not available in US. So ended up, I ordered the set in the Lego UK site and get it delivered to my brother address and it was nice of my SIL Florence to help me to send it back.

Today, we bought a small chocolate cake to my BIL's house and had a small celebration for him.
